In celebration of Children's Day on October 12, the boys and girls who visit Eco Park will be able to help biologists with various tasks in caring for the animals that live in the park. And even take part in a Treasure Hunt competition.
The activities will take place at two times: 9am and 2pm.
The first action planned for the children will be to organize the enclosures so that the animals can play, such as creating mobiles. Afterwards, the children will be able to help the park's professionals prepare and feed the animals at the Mini Farm, offering them fruit, leaves and vegetables.
Another activity that will be available for the kids will be "Farmer's Day". The idea is that visitors can follow the animals' routine and help maintain the enclosures of the horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, calves and even the llamas.
To top it all off, the park's team of environmental educators will be hosting a Treasure Hunt, with a prize at the end. All the clues will be based on information about nature and the animals in the Eco Park.
"Our aim is to promote integration between children and nature in a playful and fun way," explained environmental educator Eric Augusto.
Less stress, more creativity
According to experts, playing in nature is essential for children's development in early childhood. Contact with the outdoors reduces stress, encourages imagination and stimulates creativity.
Another benefit is that it strengthens children's immune systems and improves the quality of their sleep. They explain that when the child explores the environment through play, it increases their sense of well-being and relaxation and, as a result, they sleep more peacefully.
For Daiany Caputti, a clinical neuropsychopedagogue, another advantage of this contact with nature is the sensory development of the five senses. "During the walk they have direct contact with the sound of animals (hearing), with different textures and sensations such as grass (touch), observe the diversity of animals and environments (sight), smell various smells (smell) and even have the privilege of tasting fruit straight from the tree (taste), wonderful and very important experiences that, in addition to intellectual stimulation, create memories in children," she added.
The Park
The Eco Park is a space for raising awareness and caring for birds, animals and the Atlantic Forest. The main focus is to tell the story of man's relationship with animals through animal conditioning demonstrations, controlled interactions between visitors and the species under their care and artistic exhibitions.
It is open daily from 9am to 5:30pm. The Criollo Horse and Birds of Prey presentations take place at two times: in the morning at 10am and in the afternoon at 3.30pm.
Between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m., you can visit the Mini Farm and the "Bird Immersion" aviary.
The Eco Park is located less than 15 minutes from the city center and five minutes from the Iguaçu National Park, and next to the Dreams Park Show, where there are: Wax Museum, Wonders of the World, Dinosaur Valley, Ice Bar and the Dreams Motor Show.
