Here, a qualified team of veterinarians, biologists and caregivers offer specialized care, rehabilitation and quality of life to the animals. Providing an environment where they can express their natural behaviors and instincts.

Crioulo:
the Golden Horse

A presentation paying tribute to the history and culture of the Border region! With the colonization of South America, the Creole horse originated in the middle of the 16th century.

These animals, which spread across the pampas of Rio Grande do Sul, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Peru, were forged in the wild. They faced extreme temperatures and adverse feeding conditions, naturally resulting in a breed with its own characteristics, extremely robust and resistant.

Crioulo:
The Golden Horse

In the middle of the 16th century, horses spread along with the colonizers across the pampas of Rio Grande do Sul, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Peru.

Being wild animals, they faced extreme conditions of temperature and food, and through totally natural selection this breed was forged with its own characteristics, extremely robust and resistant.

From the 20th century onwards, breeders and stud farm owners in the region began to carry out a technical selection of the breed, selecting the best specimens to compete for who had the most beautiful, strongest and most skillful animal, in search of genetic and morphological perfection.

It was from this competition between ranchers that the Freio de Ouro competition was created, which is today the breed's largest and most complete selection tool, in which competitors are rigorously evaluated and judged, proving the Crioulo to be a rustic and functional animal with unique characteristics.

You can follow the Criollo Horses up close here at Dreams Eco Park, with a presentation that demonstrates the beauty and skill of this species in a few movements.
