Eco Park has already registered 36% growth in visitation in July

Eco Park, a space that tells the story of man's relationship with animals in Foz do Iguaçu, has been the choice of Iguaçu residents and tourists for moments of leisure, socializing and contact with nature during the July vacations.

The number of visitors in the first three weeks of July showed an increase of 36% compared to the same period in 2023.

According to tourists, the Eco Park is undoubtedly a good option for connecting and recording good family memories, as it brings together everything children love: lots of grass to run around on, animals to interact with and contact with nature, which nowadays is becoming increasingly restricted in city life.

Picnic

Natalia Figueiredo went with her whole family for a picnic at Eco Park. "It's a wonderful place to relax and connect with family and nature. It was lovely to see how well the animals were cared for. Not to mention the incredible performances," she said.

Little Gabriel, aged three, and his sister Cecília, aged four, loved the parrots and, even more, being able to feed the bunnies at Fazendinha. They took part in the activity "My present for my animal friend!", where they made cardboard materials to stimulate the animals' natural behavior. This is called environmental enrichment. This includes, of course, presenting food to them in a different way.

Among the activities at the Eco Park, every day visitors can feed the farm animals such as rabbits, goats and guinea pigs.

To top it all off, they visited the Little Farm and the Bird Immersion Aviary and watched a presentation by the birds of prey and the Criollo horse.

Vacation schedule

On Friday (26), Eco Park's environmental educators will hold a workshop entitled "Animal Nutrition: Who eats what?". The aim is to show the differences and dietary needs of each species. Afterwards, the children will prepare the food and watch the caretaker distribute it.

On Saturday (27) and Sunday (28), it will be "Who Painted the Jaguar?". Developed in partnership with the Onças do Iguaçu project, drawings of jaguars will be distributed and each participant will personalize their own. The drawings will be collected and exhibited in November, in celebration of Jaguar Day.
