Llamas in Foz do Iguaçu? Come and see for yourself.

I'm sure you've already heard about llamas - not only are they very cute, but they're also incredible animals. And I'm going to tell you "Curiosities about llamas", these fascinating animals that we have in our Mini Farm.

Curiosities about llamas

Llamas can live for around 20 years and are typical of the mountainous regions of South America. They are well known for their soft, long coat, which can be white, black, brown or gray.

Llamas are very sociable animals, but when they feel threatened they may spit to try to protect themselves, but it's not any kind of toxic saliva.

Despite being wild animals, llamas are very intelligent and can learn simple commands, which is why they work as therapy animals.

Because of the animal's intelligence, they are able to recognize a person and remember them for years. Imagine coming to our Mini Farm and our llamas recognizing you, that's a reason to come back again and again!

Llamas are very curious and exploratory animals. They often use their tongues and lips to explore unknown places or people, so it's always important not to let these animals get curious. Although they are animals that are extremely concerned about their personal hygiene, it might not be nice to get to know their mouths up close.

Do you know how llamas communicate? They have a unique and distinctive vocalization, a mixture of snoring and trumpeting sounds, and each sound can have a different meaning. Llamas also use body and facial language to communicate, such as wrinkling their noses in disapproval or raising their eyebrows.
