Residents of Foz do Iguaçu and the municipalities bordering Iguaçu National Park and Lake Itaipu once again demonstrated their spirit of solidarity at Eco Park Foz. Those who missed the opportunity to exchange milk for a discount can take advantage of the promotion on March 28 and 29.
The charity drive began on Saturday morning (the 21st), during the birds of prey demonstration. The arena was packed, while the park’s reception area filled up with donations.
After watching the flight of hawks, owls, vultures, and falcons, the families visited the Little Farm, the Primate Forest, and went on a paddleboat ride on Capybara Lake. The same scene was repeated during the afternoon show at 4 p.m. and continued throughout Sunday.
According to Paula Haito, general manager of Eco Park Foz, community participation exceeded expectations. “We are very pleased with the turnout. This result motivates us to launch new campaigns and strengthen solidarity in the region,” she said.
The 28th and 29th
Eco Park Foz hopes to repeat this success on March 28 and 29. By donating a carton of milk, residents of Foz do Iguaçu and neighboring municipalities pay R$15 to visit the park and enjoy a variety of activities.
These include the flight of the birds of prey—a unique experience in South America and an art form recognized by UNESCO as part of the cultural heritage of humanity—a tour of the Primate Forest—Brazil’s only immersive monkey sanctuary—as well as the Fazendinha, the Brazilian stingless bee apiary, the Imersão das Aves aviary, and the playground.
To qualify for the discount, you must present proof of residence, an official photo ID, and a one-liter carton of milk at the Eco Park Foz ticket office. Tickets can be purchased by phone or directly at the park.
Nutrition Center
The collected milk will be donated to the Centro de Nutrição Infantil, an NGO with over 30 years of experience that provides multidisciplinary care to hundreds of families. The organization focuses on strengthening family bonds and supporting pregnant women and infants, in addition to carrying out social and preventive initiatives aimed at vulnerable families.
Eco Park Foz is located on Rodovia das Cataratas, next to the Dreams Park Show Complex, and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
