Over the next two weekends, residents of Iguaçu and the municipalities bordering Iguaçu National Park and Lake Itaipu will be able to exchange milk for a discount at Eco Park Foz.
On the 21st and 22nd, as well as on the 28th and 29th, visitors who donate a carton of milk will pay R$ 15 to visit the park and enjoy a variety of activities. These include the flight of the birds of prey—a unique experience in South America and an art form recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of humanity—a tour of the Primate Forest—Brazil’s only immersive monkey habitat—as well as the Little Farm, the Melipolinário (a facility for stingless Brazilian bees), the Immersive Bird Aviary, and the playground.

To receive the benefit, you must present proof of residence, an official photo ID, and hand in a liter of milk at the Eco Park Foz ticket office. Tickets can be purchased by phone or directly at the park. The collected milk cartons will be donated to organizations that serve vulnerable children in Foz do Iguaçu.
According to Paula Haito, general manager of Eco Park Foz, the campaign has several objectives. The main one is to provide children with essential food during their early years, as well as to encourage families to connect with one another and with nature through a symbolic contribution.
“I believe everyone stands to gain from this campaign: the families who will enjoy the park and those who need food for their children,” he says.

Extracurricular activities
Families can also choose to participate in additional activities during their visit, such as a paddleboat ride on Lago das Capivaras. The ride lasts 20 minutes, and each boat can accommodate up to four people.

Another option is Ecoelho, which takes place twice a day, at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The activity offers a supervised interaction with giant rabbits of the Flanders and Butterfly breeds. Visitors can enter the enclosure, feed them, pet them, and learn interesting facts about the animals.
Butterfly rabbits get their name from the butterfly-shaped mark on their noses. Flanders rabbits, on the other hand, originate from Belgium and are notable for their size, weighing up to 10 kg and measuring over a meter in length.
