Nature + Science: Dreams Eco Park program delights parents and children

Eco Lab: Scientists in Action, a program with lots of games and scientific experiments, developed by Dreams Eco Park's environmental educators to celebrate Children's Day, delighted the kids and their parents.

Even before the gates opened on Saturday 12th, the queue was long and busy throughout the day.

The impression was that the unit's 30,000 square meters had become too small for so many activities and games.

There was a volcano on one side and a slide on the other. Dinosaur digs in one tent and a crazy swimming pool in the other. Even the picnic area and the little farm were packed.

Children being children

Journalist Roberto Mafra arrived with his children Sara Mafra, eight, and Jorge Mafra, 10, very early in the morning and didn't leave until mid-afternoon. "We had a wonderful day. Here my children were able to enjoy their day as children. They ran around, played and got dirty. The team is to be congratulated for the initiative and the space," she said.

Seven-year-old Luiza Camargo enjoyed every activity. "Her favorite was the crazy pool. I want my mom to make one of these at home so I can play with my friends. It's really cool," said the girl, accompanied by her mother Carla.

Six-year-old Tomás Fagundes also went with his mother Jannicke to celebrate Children's Day at Dreams Eco Park. "I went down the slide many times and I loved playing in the sand," he said. The sand he was referring to was the arena where the Crioulo Horse and Birds of Prey performances take place and which, between one performance and another, has become a place for the children to record good memories.

According to Jannicke, it's a place where children feel free and, best of all, away from screens. "As well as the atmosphere of connection with nature and childhood itself, the environmental educators made all the difference. Everyone was happy, cheerful and concerned about offering moments of joy to visitors," she said before heading to the Dreams Park Show, where little Tomás could have his picture taken with his favorite characters. "We changed clothes and here we are to continue playing," said the mother.

Picnic

Débora Prestes Motta took advantage of the day to have a picnic with her family. "I can say that it's a different and innovative space. It was wonderful to see my daughter feeding the animals and getting dirty like I did when I was her age," she said. She added: "It's an amazing place for the whole family to enjoy".

For little Bella Petters, the best part was walking around the Bird Immersion Aviary and interacting with the animals on the little farm. Finally, she painted a jaguar in honor of the Onças do Iguaçu Project, whose mission is to conserve the jaguar and maintain the biodiversity of the Iguaçu National Park, which had a stand at the park. Dreams Eco Park is one of the supporters.

Eco Park

Dreams Eco Park is a place to connect with animals and nature. It is open daily from 9am to 5:30pm. It's right next to the Dreams Park Show, on the Cataratas highway.
