With the arrival of fall and milder temperatures in Foz do Iguaçu, Eco Park Foz has reactivated paddle boat rides on Lago das Capivaras. Starting this Saturday (7), families will be able to enjoy moments of rest and connection with nature aboard the boats.
The tour lasts 20 minutes, and each boat can accommodate up to four people. The activity is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., during the park's opening hours.
“The goal of the unit is to encourage people to slow down, immerse themselves in nature, and learn about the history of the relationship between animals and humanity. The paddleboat ride helps to provide this peace and tranquility,” explains Leandro Mautone, founding partner of Eco Park Foz.
Another activity offered to the public during the visit is the Ecoelho Moment, which takes place twice a day, at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Visitors participate in a controlled interaction with giant rabbits of the Flanders and Butterfly breeds. In addition to entering the enclosure, it is possible to feed them, touch them, and learn interesting facts about these animals.
Borboleta rabbits got their name from the butterfly-shaped mark on their nose. Flanders rabbits originate from Belgium and are notable for their size: some can weigh up to 10 kilograms and measure over a meter in length.
What else to do in the park
Before or after the lake tour or interacting with the rabbits, visitors can explore the Primates Forest, considered the only immersion monkey nursery in Brazil, and watch birds of prey in flight—a unique experience in South America and an art form recognized by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
A visit to the Meliponary, home to stingless Brazilian bees, is another opportunity to connect with nature offered by Eco Park Foz.
The Owl Moment, held at 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., is a chat with environmental educators about the world of owls. Visitors get to know the bird up close and discover interesting facts about its habits and ecological importance.
In addition to educational attractions, children and adults can walk barefoot on the lawn, play in the playground and fountain (ideal for hot days), and visit the farm and the Imersão das Aves bird sanctuary. Most of the birds that live in the space arrived at the park after being rescued from situations of abuse or wildlife trafficking.
Eco Park Foz covers an area of over 30,000 square meters and is located on Rodovia das Cataratas, next to the Dreams Park Show Complex.
