Next Sunday, August 11, Father's Day, fathers who live in Foz do Iguaçu and are accompanied by a paying child can visit Eco Park for free.
The park is open from 9am to 5pm. In an area of more than 30,000 square meters, parents and children will be able to watch performances by the Criollo Horse and Birds of Prey (at 10am and 3pm), visit the Bird Immersion aviary and the little farm, as well as take part in feeding the animals such as rabbits and mini pigs. To top it all off, parents and children can rest among the trees while having a snack.
To receive the benefit, the father must be accompanied by a paying child and present a personal document and proof of address.
If you want to add a little extra to your trip, you can take a pedal boat ride on the Lagoa da Anta.
"This is the second year we've given dads free admission. Our aim is to strengthen the connection between families and nature. This is certainly a special moment," explained Eco Park manager Leandro Mautone.
What they say
Last weekend, Liliane Pradebom, an iguaçu native who loves space, took her children Teodoro, four, and Maya, six, to connect with nature whenever possible.
"We love coming to feed the animals at the farm. And every time we come there's something new," she said. She added: "You have to know in order to love. My children will only love and respect the environment if they get to know it. Eco Park is a great way to awaken this love," she added.
Kenia Andrade came from Espírito Santo with her family to visit Foz do Iguaçu and included Eco Park in her program. "We loved going through the aviary and getting to know a little more about each animal's routine," she said.
Rafaela Pimenta also came with her family to spend the July vacations in Foz. "I liked this place so much that I could work here. It's very interesting how all the staff care for the animals, especially the birds rescued from mistreatment," she said.
For Rafaela, every family should include a trip to the Eco Park at least once a month. "Here children disconnect from the screen, play, run around, smell and make incredible discoveries," she said
Argentinian Sebastião Ramirez was enchanted by the beauty of the birds. "I want to photograph them all so that I can see them again whenever possible."
